Nice stages. Seeker missles. Lasers. Fun to play! ☺️ give it a try
I really like this game it reminds me of Gates of Zendecon for the Atari LYNX back in I beleive 1989-90. It was an excellent side shooter that probably is not that well known, but I played it a lot. Great game I would love to see more like it.
This game has a retro arcade feel to it but with a modern polish to it. It doesnt get any better than shooting aliens with missiles from a jet!
Love this game, it has such a VINTAGE feel!!!
Ive been looking for a game like this since I got the phone and its came free on free app of the day, thank-you Josh for designing this game, so fun if I could give it more than 5 stars I would, if you like shooting games that are simple but exciting then this is the game for you. 5 out 5
This game could go far and it would be nice with tilt controls
Make some more weapon and vehicle more and more and more
Classic gameplay with a modern twist, plus loving the new vehicle
i like movement of chopper. reflected bullets can attack enemies, its cool! i want new weapon, new machine, new stage!
great controls, super stylish, looking forward to playing in 16:9 widescreen on my iphone 5!
As usual it would be a lot better with a d-pad to move, also movement is limited to far left..up/down..if we could move throughout the whole playing area, also we are limited to touching enemies to launch weaponry, needs additional buttons, in far right corner to use as firing.I just dont like the mechanics of touching the screen over & over to shoot enemies..PLEASE ADD ADDITIONAL CONTROL OPTIONS & A FEW BUTTONS TO FIRE.THE GAME LOOKS & PLAYS GREAT,FOR WHAT IT IS...VERY FLUID IN EVERY WAY,BUT ITS A RAIL SHOOTER,IF YOUR INTO LIMITED AREA TO MOVE & TOUCH,TOUCH,TOUCH ENEMIES FOR KILLS..PICK IT UP.I DOUBT MY SUGGESTIONS WILL GET IMPLEMENTED,IT WILL FALL ON DEAF EARS..OH WELL,I TRIED.THANK YOU.
Downloaded today and started playing. I realized a while later that I had been playing for a long while. Thats good. Haha. The graphics are strong. I especially like the movements of the ship as you move it up and down. The targeting system is a nice feature. I look forward to upgrading my ship and moving on to harder levels. Bravo.
Would have been a good game, but the controls make it annoyingly frustrating. Controls do not respond consistently and are unpredictable. Had to pay for the game and still have to pay for extras as an in app purchase.
JAM controls are the best I have seen in this kind of game genre on iOS. Seems like just the "right" amount of difficulty. Nice Job!
I can see their marketing plan, they have a store all set up (currently not activated) and an in game currency. While its possible to work through the game and upgrade right now, who knows if it will when they flip it to Freemium. I hate freemium games...and now I was suckered into paying for one. Overall, the game isnt as fun as I expected. If it wasnt iPhone 5 formatted, I probably wouldnt have opened it more then a few times. Its average.
This could be a fun game but the controls absolutely stink, they are not responsive and awkward, and even if they do work it is still a difficult setup. Would rather see a traditional control setup with a fire button for all and not have to use your finger to target each unit, with an iPad this rarely works well. Maybe at least start with this type of weapon instead of having to upgrade.
> This is on an iPhone 4S. If you have a 4, you *might* experience something different… will be testing on my wifes 4 later. ============ • I experience NO slowdown except at the first second of a stage when my ship comes onto the screen (if I have a shield). But this is just the first second while it loads the graphics for the shield up (will probably be adjusted in an upcoming update). • Controls are also 100% responsive on my 4S (will test a 4 later on). Everything works smoothly and if the other reviewers are experiencing unresponsiveness on 4S models, I would venture to say the problem is with the user, not the app or the device (no offense) So there are some in-app purchases. Are they necessary? NOPE! The game can feel like a bit of a grind at first since building up money for upgrades doesnt move too quickly. But Ive been playing for a few hours over the course of a weekend and I have the missiles (one of three types of weapons) maxed out, lasers up to around level 4, and machine guns at level 3. I also have side upgrades which are level 5 shields, level 3 attractor, and I bought the "kill all" bomb once and decided to not repurchase it after that. None of this required in-app purchases. Im *almost* done with stage 5 on Hard and am linking forward to the next (and final) difficulty. Something I didnt realize: you get a power boost for missiles (I would assume for other weapons as well) as you increase in level; Increasing doesnt just effect the number of lock-ons you can establish. Once I hit level 4 or 5, the creatures in stage 4 were much easier to kill since they required less lock-ons. For someone who was a huge fan of R-Type, this has the same kind of feel. Not the same kind of gameplay, but the same style. As others have mentioned, the controls are different. It doesnt take long to get used to them, though. Hope that helps!
Rockin shooter rtype style game!
One if the first games I ever owned on an idevice was space deadbeef, I always wondered what it would be like with more elaboration. It doesnt disappoint
